Satan (ego) called a worldwide convention. In the opening address to its evil angels, it said, "We can't keep the humans from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship with God. If they gain that connection with God, our power over them is broken."
"So let them go to their churches; let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can't gain that relationship with God."
"This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their God and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"
"How shall we do this?" shouted his angels.
"Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," it answered. "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."
"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon, their home will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"
"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice within. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive. To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays nonessential crap constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with God."
"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes."
"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines so the husbands will believe that external beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives. Ha! That will fragment those families quickly!"
"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted and unprepared for the coming week. Don't let them go out in nature to reflect on God's wonders."
"Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, concerts and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy, busy!"
"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotions."
"Go ahead, let them be involved in soul winning; but crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from God."
"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause. It will work! It will work!"
It was quite a convention. The evil angels went eagerly to their assignments causing people everywhere to get more busy and more rushed, going here and there.
I guess the question is: Has the devil/ego been successful at its scheme?

* * * * * * * * * A KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH * * * * * * * * *
As WE move closer to returning to OUR original SELF, the world displays the confusion and misdirected love of anger and hatred. A great battle is underway between SPIRIT and the ‘altered ego’: that misdirected division of SELF created to oversee all autonomic functions within this vehicle called humanity.
Even the mirage of a lake in the desert is real until the One dying of thirst reaches it and, once there, will be recognized as the fountainhead for remembrance.
Let us arise from the misperceptions (missed perceptions) and renew our Mind to eternally live the Truth of One-ness. As it was in the beginning, so shall it be forever. As you think, so shall it be!
No-One is alone with feelings of helplessness and despair, trying with all your might to help your-Self as well as Others! It causes a sense of great pain to see the harsh conditions imposed upon Others, and your-Self, and all would like to swoop down from above, wave a magic wand and cure all the ‘imagined evils' in this world!
WE’re awakening from the delusions perpetrated as reality, and WE don’t like what WE’re seeing! Welcome home, almost! Just a little further to go for Freedom!
Our power of observation is corrupted by participation in a world of physical images purported to be real and true. WE’ve placed our faith in the actuality of something holding fear over our heads, by manipulating the purity of thoughts and reflections of consciousness, to create the ill-usion of reality, which is not authentic!
The images are made existent, by the power of focused intent through corrupt motives, to indeed create a ‘hell on earth’ for the majority of Selves experiencing this marvelous separation of Self-from-Self.
Our power and control is given over to the reflections, the idols of physicalness, resulting in a ‘state of Mind’ where death controls Life in this dream called reality!
Ideally, this ‘separation’ is produced to more fully enjoy the experience of existence from different and varied ‘vehicles’ of realization. Only upon forgetting the essence of Self have WE thus ‘created’ the delusion that some thing (any-thing) has power over Self!
Nothing (no-thing) has power over Self, except that which appears to be real, and known as idolatry, to be perpetuated by misused habits for the uninformed Mind!
AWAKEN FROM THIS DREAM OF FEAR AND HELPLESSNESS!
Give birth to the remembrance of what has been so long forgotten! Ill-usion threatens with the ability for a Childe of God to go to hell; or worse, that there is nothing after relinquishing this vehicle of sensations and mobility upon our stage of awareness!
Our great cosmos is made up of countless individual universes coexisting within the same or similar time/space continuums. When One becomes comfortable and learned within One's own universe, then will that One be able to cope and be comfortable within all the worlds existent within an infinite continuance.
If One cannot control One's own space, some-One or some-thing else will. When One learns to exist within his/her own perfect biosphere, and see beyond the veil of illusion projected through Our own being, and reprogram those faulty teachings, then WE may exist and travel through any universe without being affected by what Others place their beliefs in, or have created, as their own realities and Truth.
Nothing can effect a “Childe of God” who walks with open eyes and self-control; who walks in Knowledge of TRUTH.
Resistance is futile. The path of least resistance means to not get entangled with an-Other’s belief. One’s goal in life is to realize and maintain this Truth of SELF.
“Resist not evil” means to allow Others the right to believe in their own creations until they are ready to know their SELF. To resist is to give power to an-Other’s belief. Resistance is conceived when personal universes collide.
Nothing is evil within itself ... because all created things are Holy, since they are adhered and coalesced by a Creator, which is part of and One with Universal Truth.
Disharmonies occur when Truth is mixed antithetically. By observing and functioning (living) from an ‘elevated’ position, then One may circumvent disaster and despair by not conflicting with an-Other’s creation.
Very similar to a rat in a maze, is One’s course throughout eternity, constantly going down ‘blind alleys’ and running into dead end streets; bouncing from one belief to another: until One learns to navigate obstacles by remaining in control of SELF (remembrance) and not allowing an-Other to usurp One’s command by SELF.
“Turn the other cheek” means to observe a different direction and find those universes where harmony exists until One can maintain a balance within SELF.
If, in your travels, you come upon a situation which is undesirable, turn the other cheek if you don’t wish to cause ‘waves’, and possibly risk drowning.
No-One, in REALity, can make you do that which you do not wish. Only you are in control of you! Stop passing the buck and take responsibility for the universe in which you find your-SELF !
Then, help Others desiring change find their-SELF!
I have been asked to include more references from the bible to support the idea that all help, wisdom and knowledge is already within. The following only scratches the surface of finding where to go for correct answers to all questions, as well as who and what WE are in REALity.
Your TRUTH lies within YOU, and no-One can find that place of power except YOU ! Seek first the kingdom of God . . . then YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH and be set free !
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
People of power, churches of power, institutions of power are afraid to let you know the TRUTH, because when you become enlightened and know the TRUTH, you will be free and can no longer be controlled through fear!
Western thought will tell you not to practice meditation, because they are trying to keep you out of God’s temple. Their reason is that they feel only they, as high priests, can enter the temple. (High priest meaning: doctor, lawyer, scientist, minister, rabbi, priest, or anyone of “high authority” intended to guide humanity!)
Those in control, who come against meditation as they do, are actually coming against what Jesus taught. It was Jesus who said, in the scriptures, that the Kingdom of God is within you.
Luke 17:21 The Kingdom of God is within you.
They refute the need to go within One’s SELF, which is accomplished by and through meditation, to find God. Why? Because they want you to have to come to them.
Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither allow ye them that are entering to go in.
Note that Jesus is talking to the scribes and Pharisees, which are the religious teachers of the day. They are the pastors, ministers, priests and rabbis, and he calls them hypocrites. Why? Because they are always so concerned about people going to the temple or church, but they block them from going into themselves where the true temple is.
So, why the word hypocrite? Because, they want you in church, not that you may be blessed but that you may support them. THEY shut up the Kingdom of Heaven for the profit fear supplies.
Matthew 15:14 says that religious leaders are blind leaders of the blind. In other words they cannot see! They are showing the way to others who cannot see and they both wind up in a ditch.
Perhaps that’s why the world is so confused! We are not taught to think properly, or to go to the place of knowledge for answers!
MT 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
That place of knowledge and power is within each individual, and can be reached through meditation. Your closet is the head. Remember the three monkeys? Hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil? The door(s) are your eyes, ears and mouth!
When One meditates, the external world (with it’s cares and tribulations) is shut off and the inner light is what is focused upon. This is the place of power and knowledge.
This is where WE can hear that still, small voice.
This is where the din of the world is shut out.
This is THE KINGDOM OF GOD - within !
